Some history ...
The first writings mentioning the Manor of Laval date from 1385. The building was destroyed in 1410 by Antoine de Bourgogne during his conquest of Luxemburg. From this period, there is still a cellar left, covered with ribbed vault made of schist from the region. Between 1532 and 1548, the Seigneurie was partially rebuilt by de Bolland family. The coat of arms carved in the stone above the main entrance dates from that period. In 1650, the family Gallo de Salamanca got hold of the castle. They extended the residence with two annexes in the west and especially with the farm, on which gable the date 1661 appears. At the end of the 19th century, the residential part was added, today called « la Tour » (the Tower). In 1917, Henri Vermeersch buys the property on behalf of his children, who divided it among themselves and of which a daughter married an ancestor of the Denis family, the present owners of the part where the holiday cottages have been set up.
